Jessi attended Miss Maria’s as a student from ages 6 to age 18. She began her first few years taking recreational classes and recitals; where she realized she loves to perform. After 3 years Jessi became a part of the NAC, USATT, and Premier dance team. As a former student of our studio she grew to become a teacher and has been teaching with us for the past 8 years.

Jessi graduated from Washburn University with a
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in sociology. She plans to put her degree towards helping children who are in need of rehabilitation and counseling.

“I loved being at Miss Maria’s all the time growing up (and still today). I met my closest friends, had the best of teachers, and made unforgettable memories.”

Jerica Leiby began her dance career at Miss Maria’s at the age of 10, and stayed with the studio through her high school graduation at the age of 18. Meghan is another Miss Maria’s Family Member. She graduated and went to KSU to become a classy cat with her fellow Miss Maria’s Alum Abby.

She misses Miss Maria’s so much she returns to help sub and even taught a few classes. Her students see the life and passion she gained from Miss Maria’s through her teaching as she passes on the tradition to them.
